Jessica Simpson has been told she is not welcome at ex-boyfriend Tony Romo's house, reports claim.

The American football star allegedly told his security team not to let Simpson through the gates of his Dallas home.

According to Us Weekly magazine, there is now a sign at the entrance of Romo's property reading: "Red alert! Tony Romo has made some changes to his list of people allowed in. Jessica is no longer on the list and not approved for access."

Days after the pair ended their romance, the singer and actress is believed to have paid $19,000 (£11,500) to have her belongings moved from his house to Los Angeles.

Simpson has been distracting herself from the break-up by looking after her nephew Bronx, son of sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and her husband Pete Wentz. She wrote on Twitter last weekend: "Auntie Jess bought BX his first swim trunks - Burberry style!! A day of babysitting and I'm in love!"
