Clooney 'romancing Italian TV presenter'

George Clooney has begun romancing an Italian television presenter, according to the Daily Mail.

The Burn After Reading star is understood to have been introduced to Elisabetta Canalis by mutual friends in Rome last week.

The pair were reportedly later seen dining together at the luxurious Hotel Majestic, before meeting up again in Milan on Sunday night. Most recently they were spotted sightseeing around Lake Como on Clooney's motorcycle.

Sardinian-born Canalis, 30, is a popular Italian model and presenter and recently took over hosting duties on MTV Italy's Total Request Live.

Clooney, who owns a home in Lake Como, will spend the autumn in Italy filming a big screen adaptation of Martin Booth's A Very Private Gentleman.
