Kate Garraway gives birth to son

GMTV presenter and Strictly Come Dancing star Kate Garraway has given birth to her second child.

William Garraway Draper was born on Tuesday evening, weighing 7lbs 12oz. Garraway and her new baby are "in excellent health", confirmed a GMTV spokesperson.

The TV star already has one daughter, 3-year-old Darcey, with psychotherapist husband Derek Draper.

Darcey has not been able to visit her brother in hospital because of swine flu pandemic precautions.

In a joint statement, the couple said: "We are in seventh heaven and keep grinning from ear to ear. Billy is so beautiful. We can't wait to get home so that Darcey can meet her new little brother."

Garraway will return to GMTV in the autumn.
