It was expected that the findings would be announced by Friday, but assistant chief coroner Ed Winter said that their release would be delayed, The AP reports.
The Los Angeles County coroner's office did not give reasons for the change.
Investigators are said to be working under the theory that Jackson's heart stopped due to the administration of the potent anaesthetic propofol, which was found in his home after he passed away.
Jackson's personal physician Dr Conrad Murray has reportedly been named as the target of a manslaughter investigation into the singer's death.
