The 'I'm Not Alone' star admitted that he dumped Stryder because his "text-speak" messages started to annoy him.
He told The Sun: "I'm good at spelling and those text-speak Twitters do my head in. I had to get rid of Tinchy off my Twitter because he was doing all that. It was affecting my brain."
Harris, who recently confirmed that he will work on Kylie Mingoue's next album, claimed that he preferred using the social networking blog to having real conversations.
"I like constructing sentences but not in conversations. Twitter cuts out the conversation part. You just think of the amazing things and come across as more interesting," he said.
Last week, the Scottish producer used Twitter to launch an explosive tirade against YouTube after it removed the official video for his new single 'Ready For The Weekend' from the site.
