Rupert Everett has admitted that he has experimented with Botox in the past.

The 50-year-old actor confirmed that he has no regrets about seeking the treatment - but is unlikely to become a regular fan.

Defending his past use of the injections in an interview with the Daily Mail, Everett commented: "Why not? But all these things are better for girls. Because a man's forehead that doesn't move is too big. For girls, if they have hair over it, it's all right, but for guys it's not really a thing that works particularly well."

Meanwhile, the star also revealed that he remains frustrated over reports that he has been under the knife for a facelift.

He complained: "Some people are spreading rumours about me. Come on, look for yourself. You won't find any marks or scars. I have not had a facelift. Do you see marks of any kind?"

Everett first spoke out to deny the facelift allegations in April. At the time, his representative asked: "Why would Rupert need any surgery? He's a beautiful man."
