Officers were called to Liverpool's H Bar at around 12.30am on Monday following reports that three men had sustained knife wounds in a fight outside the club.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "Upon arrival officers found three men injured in the street. The men were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
"It is believed the altercation began at a bar on Victoria Street earlier that night. Inquiries are continuing."
Two of the men were treated for injuries to their abdomens, while a third man suffered injuries to his head and leg. All three are expected to make a full recovery.
Liverpool City Council has now temporarily suspended the club's trading licence following a preliminary review. A full review by the licensing committee will take place on August 26 and it is believed that the nightclub will remain closed until then.
Hamilton opened the venue in January 2007, although its licence was temporarily revoked last September after a double stabbing sparked fears of a gang war.
