Jafargholi, 12, performed at the pop icon's memorial service in Los Angeles last month, appearing on the bill alongside Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson and Usher.
The youngster had come to Jackson's attention after belting out his classic song 'Who's Loving You' in his original audition for Britain's Got Talent.
Discussing the public memorial in an interview with the Daily Mail, Jafargholi revealed: "It was great to be able to stand there and sing his song knowing that, at least before he died, he knew who I was and knew I was a fan.
"When I said I loved him, it really was from my heart. I said it because I love his music and I love the message he was trying to get across. Some people don't understand, but his message was world peace. At least, that's what I think it was."
He added: "It was weird how everybody was coming up to me and saying: 'Well done'. Janet Jackson shook my hand and thanked me. I was thinking: 'I should be thanking you for giving me this opportunity to be here and say goodbye to Michael Jackson'.
"I just felt so sorry for all of them. They'd not just lost a musical legend, they'd lost a family member, too."
Reports suggest that Jafargholi was recently snapped up by Creative Artists Agency.
