Fiona Phillips blasts Allsopp's complaints

Fiona Phillips has admitted that she has no sympathy for Kirstie Allsopp following the presenter's public dispute with the Daily Mail.

The Location, Location, Location host spoke out against the newspaper this week after an article on its website suggested that she had a moustache.

Writing on Twitter in reaction to the piece, she remarked: "How charming of Mail. It's dark skin, not hair and is hormonal, from birth of my sons. Small price to pay for heavenly boys!"

Allsopp has since received an apology from the publication, but former GMTV host Phillips believes she had no cause to complain.

Commenting in her column for The Mirror, Phillips insisted: "I'm afraid that's the price you have to pay, Kirstie. You can't use the press to promote yourself one minute and turn on them when the publicity's not so positive."

She added: "Having been pictured looking decidedly rough in a number of publications of late, I know what I'm talking about."

Phillips stepped down from GMTV in December last year. She has since credited the decision for improving her family life.
