The 'Thriller' star passed away on June 25 following cardiac arrest, but allegations have continued to swirl that he may have been killed by a lethal combination of prescribed painkillers.
Speaking on Fox News's Geraldo At Large, Katherine Jackson said: "All I know is that my son is dead and I don't think he just died of natural causes or whatever.
"He's too young to have that. Something happened. I don't know what it was. And I can't say."
The 79-year-old, who received full custody of Jackson's three children last week, added that they are "doing fine" and slammed media reports that her husband Joe had been banned from seeing them.
"I don't know why they're saying he's not being allowed in the house," she said. "My husband's never done nothing of the sort that they trying to say he did 39 years ago. I don't understand that, and I just believe it's something that they cooked up."
Joe Jackson previously suggested that "foul play" was involved in the death of his son, while sister La Toya has alleged that the star could have been murdered.
