Ryan O'Neal has admitted that he is still upset by a memoir his daughter Tatum wrote five years ago.

The Oscar-winning actress penned A Paper Life in 2004, which chronicled her bouts with drug addiction and strained relationship with her 68-year-old father. Ryan revealed that he is incensed that his child detailed their private issues in a public medium, Us Weekly reports.

"She wrote a book - bitch!" he told Vanity Fair. "How dare she throw our laundry in the street for money?"

Tatum told the publication that she could understand her parent's point of view, adding: "[He] has every right to be angry about the book; no parent wants to hear their kid saying s**t things about them... But what I wrote in the book was true. I've got a battle with drugs, but I'm a strong, independent person, and I fight for myself - and my father and I butt heads."

It was reported earlier that Ryan accidentally hit on his daughter at Farrah Fawcett's funeral, while he banned her brother Griffin from attending the proceedings.
