Rihanna mum "devastated" over Brown rumours

Rihanna's mother is said to be "devastated" at claims that her daughter reunited with Chris Brown at the Trump International Hotel in Manhattan last weekend.

Earlier reports that the couple had spent last weekend together had been denied, with Rihanna's representative stating that it was "a coincidence" that both had stayed at the New York hotel.

However, a source told Star that the pair used decoy vehicles to fool the press and were spotted "canoodling" by a hotel worker.

The insider said: "He was cupping her cheeks with his hands and whispering in her ear. She was giggling. It all looked very cosy."

Rihanna's mum reportedly told the magazine: "I'm devastated, but what can I do? Rihanna is her own woman with her own mind and very, very independent. We love her but can't stand to see her play Russian roulette with her life.

"Chris has a bizarre power over her. She still loves him and he knows it. In her eyes, he's a god. Even after all this time, and even after what he did, it's not diminished."

Brown is subject to a court order to stay 50 yards away from Rihanna after he pleaded guilty to assaulting her during an altercation in February.
