Michael Douglas son 'arrested over drugs'

The actor son of Michael Douglas has been arrested on drugs charges, say reports.

Sources familiar with the investigation have alleged that Cameron Douglas, 30, was taken into custody by the Drug Enforcement Administration at the Hotel Gansevoort in Manhattan, New York last month.

It is thought that he was booked on a methamphetamine-dealing charge. He was previously arrested in 2007 for possession of a controlled substance.

Cameron starred alongside his father and grandfather Kirk Douglas in 2003's It Runs In The Family.

A representative for the actor has yet to comment and the hotel has declined to discuss the report.
