Wilkes and his wife Nikki are working with business partner Kim Watts on the project, which will open on September 19. If the school proves a success, Wilkes is hoping to open a second Wilkes Academy in his hometown Stoke.
"I'm so excited about it," Nikki told ThisIsWiltshire. "I just wish it was this month - the sooner we start the better."
"We want to instill good values into the kids who come along," said Jonathan. "Whenever you ask kids what they want to do when they grow up they all say they want to be famous - they want to be a celebrity.
"They want to put in as little work as possible but make as much money as they can and that's not the way to achieve longevity in the business. I come from the school that saw you working at the end of Blackpool pier and working your way up through the profession."
The couple are hoping to hire Footballers' Wives star Susie Amy to take acting classes, while Fame Academy's Kevin Adams is expected to run dance sessions.
