Walters 'asks Bana to strip on live TV'

Barbara Walters asked Eric Bana to take his clothes off live on her TV chatshow The View.

The Australian actor, who appears naked several times in new movie The Time Traveller's Wife, politely declined Walters's offer.

Talking about the film adaptation of the book, the TV presenter said: "We see more of your backside. I had a wonderful time. So I thought maybe you would like to show us now how it is done."

The movie, which stars Bana and Rachel McAdams, is released later this month. The writer of the story recently revealed that he had initially hoped ex-husband and wife Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston would fill the roles.
