According to The Sun, the 47-year-old comedian is currently running 30 miles a day, while yesterday he left Liverpool for Wales.
With a broken toe nail and bandages attached to his ankles, Izzard told GMTV that his feet were "disintegrating".
He also explained why he underwent the challenge, saying: "Running is very primal. We used to hunt in this way.
"Anyone should be able to do this, it's not actually that complicated. It's a marathon a day and that's probably what people used to run when they hunted animals.
"I do the same thing at the end. I sort of spear a Twix and have a Diet Coke. My body isn't really determined, but my brain is."
Izzard continued: "I was told I was supposed to do five months of training but I don't like training so I did five weeks. I just said, 'I'm going to do it'.
"Sport Relief said, 'Do you want to do something?' I said, 'Well, what about this?' and they said, 'Well, that's kind of crazy'.
"But I said, 'Well, I'm doing it. Would you like me to get people to sponsor me?' They said, 'Yes'."
The star is expected to run for nearly two months with one day off a week. An ice cream van, camper van, tents and a sports therapist are accompanying him on his series of marathons.
