The vampire romance picked up 11 out of the 12 trophies that it was nominated for, including choice actor drama and male hottie for Robert Pattinson, choice actress drama for Kristen Stewart and choice movie drama.
The blockbuster also nabbed surfboards for choice romance, liplock, rumble and soundtrack, while Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene picked up individual honours for male and female fresh faces. Cam Gigandet was crowned movie villain of the year.
Cyrus took home six awards, including choice comedy TV show for her Disney series Hannah Montana, choice single for 'The Climb' and summer song for 'Before The Storm', featuring the Jonas Brothers.
The 16-year-old also presented Britney Spears with the Ultimate Choice Award, telling the audience: "She's a good friend of the family, so I'm just happy to finally show everyone that she's back, and she never went anywhere. She's had a successful career, I'm proud of her."
Other big winners included Zac Efron, who scooped gongs for 17 Again and High School Musical 3, the cast of Gossip Girl, David Beckham and hosts the Jonas Brothers.
More than 83 million votes were cast for this year's ceremony, which saw 88 different awards handed out.
The Teen Choice Awards will air tonight at 10pm ET on Fox.
