Schiffer gives birth to Clementine

To add to the long list of odd names that celebrities seem compelled to bestow upon their offspring, Claudia Schiffer has brought a Clementine into the world. She announced the child's identity whilst posing for photographers with the baby in question and her husband Matthew Vaughan, along with their similarly imaginatively-named one-year-old Casper.

Proud father Matthew announced: "We're absolutely thrilled with our newest addition." Clementine was born in Portland Hospital, London, last week and weighed in at 7lbs 2oz.

Stressing the importance of family to her, Claudia recently said: "Meeting Matthew and giving birth to Caspar have been the two most amazing moments in my life."
