Justin and Cameron to split?

Sources claim that the relationship between Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz is on the rocks, perhaps due to Cameron's 'misunderstanding' with a Los Angeles photographer. The incident occurred earlier this month when the couple were leaving Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel and Diaz was none too pleased with a photographer who took an interest in them.

There has been resultant legal action from the fracas in which Diaz snatched Saul Lazo's camera from him and ran off with it. While she was busy with her part of the kerfuffle (and losing a sandal), Justin was engaged in preventing another photographer, Jos Gonzales, from taking pictures of the brawl.

Unfortunately, as a friend of Justin's explained to US Weekly, "Justin just had his second acting role, and he doesn't need bad press. This is what happened with ex-girlfriend Britney Spears - she was becoming a liability. He's not going to let Cameron's behaviour reflect on his career."

He added that the aftermath of the incident "may push Timberlake to finally end their 17-month relationship."
