Reading, Leeds comedy acts confirmed

Jack Whitehall and Tim Minchin will play the Alternative Stage at this year's Reading and Leeds festivals.

Brendon Burns, American Doug Stanhope and Junior Simpson have also been confirmed for the Bank Holiday weekend shows.

The Alternative Stage will host spoken word performances and film screenings, including This Is Spinal Tap and Anvil! The Story Of Anvil, across the weekend.

Other events on the bill include a political debate featuring Jon McClure and Carl Barat, a history of the music video presented by Adam Buxton and a clothing swap-a-rama.

Reading and Leeds takes place from August 28 to August 30. Kings Of Leon, Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys headline the main stage and all tickets have sold out.
