Jerry Hall has expressed fears that she is too slim for her latest West End role.

The 53-year-old actress is currently appearing alongside June Brown, Anita Dobson and Jill Halfpenny in the stage version of Calendar Girls, which follows a group of WI members who strip off for a charity project.

Speaking to the Daily Express, Hall admitted: "I think we're all too skinny. I keep saying to Jill Halfpenny: 'It's your duty to eat a dessert.'"

She added: "I never went on a diet for the part, I just lost some weight because of rushing around during rehearsals. If I wasn't in the play, I'd just be at home with a biscuit and a cup of tea. Or I'd be looking after the four chickens that we keep.

"But I'm having a great time as they are a wonderful group of actresses, a fantastic bunch and the story is inspirational."

Hall is expected to appear in the production at the Noel Coward Theatre until October.
