Rascal 'threatened to punch Prince Harry'

Dizzee Rascal has reportedly revealed how he threatened to punch Prince Harry when the pair met backstage at London's Wireless Festival in July.

The 'Bonkers' star came face-to-face with Prince Harry, who stands as third in line to the throne, when he performed his headline set at the Hyde Park festival on July 4, NME reports.

Rascal admitted to The Daily Telegraph that the London gig promoter who was supervising the prince's visit to the event was responsible for their meeting taking place. He added that he jokingly told the prince that he would punch him "in the face" during their private chat.

"I never saw that one coming," the rapper remarked. "Prince Harry came in and was joking around and being a bit cheeky, so I told him, 'If you weren't royalty, I'd have punched you in the face by now', and he seemed to like that. He's a naughty boy, so he fits in."

He went on to say that he considered Prince Harry to be more of a hellraiser than him.

"[Prince Harry] and his mates are probably a bit wilder than us," he said.

Rascal recently declared his desire to appear in BBC soap Eastenders.
