Katona's mum urges her to ditch Croft

Kerry Katona's mother has made a public plea for her to dump husband Mark Croft.

Sue Katona, 49, admitted that she is shocked by her daughter's decision to stand by Croft following recent tabloid allegations.

The reality TV star split from her partner temporarily last month after he was accused of propositioning strippers on a holiday in Majorca. However, she later reunited with him when the women in the question sold their story.

Speaking to Closer, Sue admitted: "I'm worried sick about Kerry now she's taken him back. Mark's destroyed her self-esteem. She has no confidence left. What does he have to do to make her realise what a b**tard he is?"

She continued: "I spoke to her the day the story came out about the lapdancers. I said: 'Have you seen it - the story about Mark trying to shag the lapdancers?' She replied: 'He's been stitched up'.

"I said: 'For God's sake he's been filmed trying to shag her, what more do you need to see?' But she wouldn't listen."

Katona's mother added that she fears the I'm A Celebrity... winner may stop speaking to her after reading her advice. The pair previously ended a long-running public feud in February.

She said: "I only hope she sees I'm doing it to try and help her realise what a mistake she's made. She needs to get away from him."
