Jon Gosselin reacts to Kate TV interview

Jon Gosselin has spoken out following estranged wife Kate's appearance on NBC's Today show.

The mother-of-eight sat down with Meredith Vieira yesterday morning to discuss her marriage break-up and rumours that Jon had begun romancing her surgeon's daughter Hailey Glassman.

Speaking to E! News, he said: "Kate's the mother of my children. I only wish her the best."

When asked about tabloid reporter Kate Major's recent claims that he was a "liar" and a "two-timer", he replied: "I'm happy that she's out of my life."

Gosselin was scheduled to give his first televised interview since the split yesterday, but his appearance was later cancelled without explanation.
