Jennifer Hudson gives birth to baby boy

Jennifer Hudson has reportedly given birth to a baby boy.

The 27-year-old former American Idol contestant delivered her first child without complication yesterday. He was born weighing 7lb 14oz.

According to WENN, Hudson and fiancé David Otunga will name the infant David Daniel Otunga Jr.

It is believed that neither of the couple knew the sex of the baby beforehand, so friends and family brought both pink and blue clothing for the child.

Although Hudson never confirmed her pregnancy news, she apparently staged a baby shower at a relative's Chicago, Illinois home in May before appearing at Michael Jackson's Los Angeles memorial concert sporting a noticeable baby bump in July.
