According to The Sun, Budden met with the children's father Jeff Brazier to discuss preventing Tweed from visiting his deceased wife's sons given his recent behaviour.
A source said: "Jackiey is very concerned about Jack's current mental state. She wants him away from the kids.
"She met Jeff last week to discuss going to the High Court to get an injunction stopping him from having access to the children."
They added: "They know Jack loves the boys but do not think he is in a fit state at the moment to be left alone with them."
However, a friend of Brazier reportedly said: "Jeff doesn't want to punish Jack. He has not seen the boys - they are with Jeff.
"He just feels Jack is a bit lost at the moment, very confused and very lonely. It is a sad time. Jackiey is more hardline and wants a court ruling to keep her son-in-law away. It's an ugly affair."
Budden recently criticised Tweed for embarking on physical relationships with other women so soon after Goody's death.
