MC Hammer 'in financial trouble'

Rapper MC Hammer is struggling with financial difficulties, say reports.

According to HipHopWired, the 'U Can't Touch This' singer, real name Stanley Burrell, owes $600,000 (£364,000) in unpaid taxes.

The IRS and state of California are reportedly chasing up liens and legal claims with the musician.

Hammer, who achieved success in the early '90s with No.1 album Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em, was previously declared bankrupt in 1996.

He is currently starring in A&E's reality series Hammertime with his family.
