Regis 'questions Kate on Jon reunion'

Regis Philbin reportedly questioned Kate Gosselin about a possible reunion with estranged husband Jon during a pre-recorded segment for Live With Regis And Kelly.

The mother-of-eight is understood to have arranged for a "light interview" on the morning programme, following her emotional appearance on NBC's Today show earlier in the week.

"I can't and won't answer that. I keep certain things private, and that's one," she is quoted by the New York Daily News as saying.

Philbin is alleged to have then said: "I think you will get back together and live happily ever after. I think everything is going to work itself out - he'll say he's sorry, that he loves you and everything will be good."

Gosselin reportedly had no response. The interview is scheduled to air tomorrow.
