Monk cosies up to music mogul

Sophie Monk has been spotted on a date with one of Hollywood's richest record dealers, according to reports.

The model-turned-singer was apparently seen drinking and dancing with music executive Russell Simmons in Skybar in West Hollywood after they attended the premiere of Inglourious Basterds.

Onlookers told The Daily Telegraph that Monk, who used to be engaged to Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden, and Simmons were looking "pretty friendly".

Simmons owns the successful Def Jam records, which has artists such as LL Cool J, Public Enemy and the Beastie Boys on its books.
