Jools Holland: 'I'm a jammy f***er'

Jools Holland has admitted that he is lucky to have his job as a musician, bandleader and television presenter.

The Later... host told Metro that while he still gets starstruck by the artists he most admires, once the music starts playing "everything drops away".

Holland said: "Lots of people work. I play. Providence has smiled upon me. When you do for work what your pleasure is, I am not sure what the word is: jammy f**ker?

"My dream band is the band I am in or I wouldn't be in it. We tell the truth."

Earlier this year, Sonic Youth bassist Mark Ibold claimed that all stars who appear on Holland's show have to join in "a forced weird party vibe thing" for the opening jam.
