Kristen Stewart: 'I'd kill for Lautner'

Kristen Stewart has revealed that she would do anything for her Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner.

The star of sequel New Moon said that the pair share a kinship similar to the one that their characters portray on screen, People reports.

"I love that kid," Stewart told Entertainment Weekly. "I would do anything for him. I would kill for him, literally."

The 19-year-old also admitted that she fought with director Chris Weitz for Lautner when he was rumoured to be a doubt for the latest instalment in the popular vampire franchise.

She added: "It's completely understandable why they wanted to make sure he was right. He was so young, 16, so I got it. But I knew he had [to do] it. Just because of how I felt around him. I literally saw Jacob in him."

Lautner recently said that he grew close to Stewart during filming on the follow-up, which is due out in cinemas in November.
