The Sherlock Holmes actor, who is expecting a child with ex-lover Samantha Burke, said that although he feels happy at the moment, he doesn't want to be alone forever.
Asked how difficult it is to have a relationship in the spotlight, Law told OK magazine: "When I think about it like that, it feels like a burden. But that won't mean I'll be single for the rest of my life - I hope."
The star added: "I feel very settled with myself in my world. I don't feel as needy and desperate to prove things about myself. In my 20s I was very keen to achieve this and disprove this and that. Now I enjoy just being able to concentrate on my children and my work and myself."
The 36-year-old already has three children with ex-wife Sadie Frost.
