Garth misquoted over Pattinson romance

Twilight star Peter Facinelli has denied that his wife told reporters that Robert Pattinson was dating one of the movie's co-stars.

Former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jennie Garth had been quoted as telling a newspaper that Pattinson was romancing an unidentified castmate.

Writing on his Twitter account, he said: "Complete media fabrication. I read the transcript of what my wife actually said, which was, 'My husband talks to me about Twilight stuff, but I promised him I wouldn't talk about it'."

A representative for Garth also confirmed the error to Radar Online, saying: "I know my client. She's a veteran and she's an honest girl and too sweet to be misquoted like that."

The spokesperson added that a transcript from the interview showed that Garth actually answered, "I can't say. That will be breaking my promise to my husband. But I do know'," when asked about Pattinson's love life.
