Sinitta reveals abortion trauma

Sinitta has revealed that she turned to religion after finding it hard to get pregnant.

The former singer suffered four miscarriages, three failed attempts using IVF and employed a surrogate mother who miscarried twice, reports the Daily Mail.

She felt for a time that an abortion she had in her youth was to blame for her bad luck getting pregnant.

She told the newspaper: "I'm very spiritual.

"But I did get religious at one point when I kept losing children, thinking, 'Maybe this is a divine punishment because I terminated a teenage pregnancy'."

Sinitta and her ex-husband have two adopted children who she is "pining for", as they are currently in Hong Kong.

The X Factor star also opened up about the differences between herself and ex Simon Cowell.

She said: "I love him with all my heart.

"When we are together, he's a very primary person in my life. But he wants to be a single guy. He wants to see who he wants to see when he wants to see them. I'm a very monogamous woman. I need someone who will put me first the whole time."

Sinitta has previously admitted that Cowell was a "horrible cheat".
