The site is currently occupied by Richard Poncher, who died 23 years ago, but his widow has decided to have his body moved so that she can pay off her expensive LA home.
The sales information on the auction website reads: "Here is a once in a lifetime and into eternity opportunity to spend your eternal days directly above Marilyn Monroe."
Elsie Poncher said that her late husband bought the crypt from Monroe's ex-husband Joe DiMaggio in 1954. He also bought the space next to it, where his wife plans to move him.
Playboy owner Hugh Hefner bought a spot next to Monroe for $75,000 (£46,000) in 1992.
