Bullock: 'I love receiving letters'

Sandra Bullock has revealed that she does not like receiving expensive presents.

The Proposal star, who is married to biker Jesse James, said that she would much rather get something heartfelt like a handwritten letter than something that cost a lot of money.

She told Bang Media: "I am lucky in that I don't expect much and I am always so pleased by just the smallest gesture. I am a notes and letters gal. I would much rather have someone write me something than buy something for me."

Bullock continued: "I like the intentions rather than the gifts, so if someone writes me something or does something like that then I am very overwhelmed by that romance."

The actress also revealed that she is trying to become more spontaneous, saying: "I'm the queen of planning and scheduling and I'm trying very hard to stop it. I just want to finish what I'm doing and go home. I want to have a weekend. I want to have breakfast, a stack of pancakes. I don't want to not enjoy where I am at this very moment."
