Peter Andre 'secures new TV deal'

Peter Andre has reportedly signed a deal for a six-week show on ITV2 after completing his one-off special for the channel.

According to The Sun, producers commissioned Peter Andre: The Next Chapter after being impressed with Going It Alone, which airs tonight at 9pm.

A source claimed that Andre's estranged wife Katie Price is unhappy with his TV success and managed to get him barred from a party thrown by ITV Director Peter Fincham.

They said: "The idea of him being the main event and having his own show is infuriating for her. But for all her best efforts, he's still landed a new show.

"Pete's music career means more than anything to him - but TV is still his bread and butter."

They added: "Despite going through the worst few weeks of his life as he filmed tonight's documentary, he enjoyed making it because Jordan wasn't there to put a dampener on everything.

"The bickering really wore him down and it's a relief to him not to have her in his ear."

Peter Andre: The Next Chapter will reportedly air on ITV2 from October 1.
