Glassman: 'Jon Gosselin is my first love'

The new girlfriend of reality star Jon Gosselin has insisted that the father-of-eight is her "first love" and that she is not just seeking fame.

Speaking to E! News, Hailey Glassman claimed that she began her friendship with Gosselin in May after he moved into her parents' house following his split from wife Kate.

"[He's my] first love. I'm not some fame whore... He was living in my house, the person I joked around with. He was sad and bored, I was home and bored," she explained.

"Jon and Kate have moved on with their lives. It's only the viewers who haven't moved on... I want people to know the truth.

"Right now I'm speaking from my heart, myself. I'm not some celebrity, I'm not some famous person – I'm just a 22-year-old girl who got caught in the middle of all this."

Glassman, the daughter of Kate's cosmetic surgeon, added that she was unconcerned by reports that Gosselin had vacationed in the Hamptons with tabloid reporter Kate Major.

"I wasn't worried. I know what Jon tells me and I know him... but she's cuckoo, cuckoo, you know?"

Major recently claimed that Gosselin had "feelings" for her but that it might not be the best time to begin a romance.
