Hayden Panettiere: 'Don't judge me'

Hayden Panettiere has confessed that she becomes upset when she is judged by those who don't know her, according to reports.

The Heroes actress admitted that being in the public eye naturally attracts some negativity - but still wishes that people would refrain from judging her based solely on the roles that she plays and what is written about her in the press.

"People think they know me because they see me on TV or in movies - but the public don't really know me," Panettiere revealed to Shout magazine.

"I've learned that no matter what you do, someone is always going to have a problem with it. At the end of the day, the only person you can please is yourself."

She continued: "I don't like the idea that someone can see me on screen and say, 'Oh, I don't like her'. You don't know that. You've never hung out with me and you've never had a conversation with me, so you don't know that you don't like me!"

When asked about recent media gossip regarding her, Panettiere insisted: "They're all rumours. Don't believe any of it. None of it is true."
