Wright Penn rules out reconciliation

Robin Wright Penn has ruled out any chances of a reconciliation with her Oscar winner husband Sean Penn.

The couple began divorce proceedings in 2007 only to get back together four months later. By April this year they separated again, but were rumoured to have reunited in May when they arrived at a Hollywood party together.

Wright Penn told More magazine of the pair's indecision: "I hit that crossroad a while ago. For Robin, the 'I know what I don't want' was flashing in neon lights. I have no regrets. We have two amazing children we raised together."

The Forrest Gump actress continued: "I think I've always been a follow-the-leader with my career, or maybe waiting for things to happen. Now I know the direction, whoever's on board can go with me."

Wright Penn, who has two children with the Mystic River actor, also admitted that she is struggling with her eldest Dylan leaving home, saying: "At least twice a week, I pull over and sob. My baby is leaving. It's an emotionally full time, but it's not sad."
