Jeff Brazier: 'Jack is not a bad person'

Jeff Brazier has said that Jade Goody's widower Jack Tweed is not a bad person and made Goody happier in the last few months of her life.

The father of Goody's children told The Mirror that he refuses to judge Tweed, despite negative accounts of his behaviour since Goody's death and reports of a lucrative magazine photoshoot.

Brazier said: "Jack's not a bad person, he is just young and misguided. I refuse to judge him because I really respected his influence on Jade's happiness in her last few months. He gave up his money from the magazine deal to the boys and that speaks volumes.

"I have no interest in his personal life - that's none of my business. The only time it becomes my business is when it comes to the children. I think he's having a tough time and I'd question whether he's getting the right advice from the people around him."

He added: "He knows that everything isn't quite right for him being the role model in the boys' lives that Jade might have liked him to be. I will speak to him privately about when and if it would be appropriate for him to see them.

"I don't know what Jack will do in the future but I think a good move may be for him to get a girlfriend - that might settle him down a bit."
