Glassman: 'I've been the sacrificial lamb'

Jon Gosselin's new girlfriend has claimed that she has become "the sacrificial lamb" in the media portrayal of his split from wife Kate.

The father-of-eight, who filed for divorce from Kate in June, recently confirmed speculation that he is romancing 22-year-old Hailey Glassman.

Speaking to E! News, she said: "Before all this, I was happy-go-lucky. I was never a follower, I was never a gossiper, I did my own thing.

"To be honest, this whole thing, I have lost my happiness through all this. I don't want to say the public and media stripped me of my self-esteem. But they really have. I've been the sacrificial lamb in this situation."

She added: "I didn't know any of this would happen. If I wanted fame, don't you think I would be out all the time? I stay in my house. I've been staying home with my parents because I feel safe there."

Glassman, the daughter of Kate's cosmetic surgeon, recently claimed that Gosselin is her "first love" and that their friendship had begun after he came to stay with her parents following his separation.
