Sting's 'Tantric sex was a Geldof rumour'

Sting's supposed love of Tantric sex is a myth that was created by Bob Geldof, it has been reported.

Rumours about The Police star and wife Trudie Styler's love-making sessions have apparently become music legend over the years. However, the couple's daughter Coco insisted that the claims were started by Geldof as a practical joke.

Coco told the New York Daily News: "Bob Geldof made up this thing and it stuck - and it's an international joke. It's embarrassing when people bring it up."

Sting confirmed that the Irish singer is responsible for instigating the story, adding: "We were chatting and talking about having hours of sex. It then became really a joke which went around the world like a forest fire."
