Clarkson 'serenades Pattinson cutout'

Kelly Clarkson has proven her love for Twilight after serenading a cardboard cutout of Robert Pattinson at her Illinois concert last weekend.

The singer, who has described herself as a "nerd" for the vampire film series previously, was performing at a state fair in Springfield when a fan from the crowd handed her the model.

According to the movie's fan blog WTForks.com, Clarkson said: "OK, so if you don't know who this is, this is Edward Cullen from Twilight. He's so cute!"

The star then apparently cuddled and sang her song 'I Want You' to the cutout, which had the words "You want me?" written on its chest.

Clarkson recently told VH1 that she would love to be featured on the New Moon soundtrack, saying: "If nothing fits the soundtrack songwise - if it wouldn't fit the movie, then I don't want something on there. But if it would, then I'd love it 'cause I'm such a huge fan."

The second instalment of the series is out in cinemas on November 20.
