A spokesman for the King Of Pop's family confirmed that the ceremony is now scheduled for September 3, though no official explanation has been revealed for the delay.
Jackson's body will now remain in the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn, Glendale until the proposed evening service, Sky News reports.
The cemetery stretches over eight miles of land north of downtown Los Angeles, while the mausoleum itself contains a stained glass replica of Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper and several models of Michelangelo statues.
