Her Majesty revealed her appreciation of the East End team during a discussion amongst the Royal staff over the club’s game against Millwall on Tuesday, reports the Sunday Mirror.
A source said: "The Queen has never wanted people to know who she supports as she wants to be seen to be neutral.
"But she gave up her secret after overhearing one of her staff, a Millwall fan, talking to a colleague about the derby game with West Ham. They were quite shocked as she’s not exactly your typical West Ham fan."
The Queen is rumoured to have begun following West Ham after meeting their manager Ron Greenwood a number of times. Barack Obama also supports the Hammers.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman told the newspaper: "Which team the Queen supports is not something we would know."
