Katona arrives at police station for quiz

Kerry Katona has attended an appointment with police in her home town to face questioning about her recent drug scandal, reports suggest.

The reality TV star was accompanied by her husband Mark Croft as she arrived at the police station in Wilmslow, Cheshire today, according to the Daily Mail.

A Cheshire Police spokesman confirmed: "A member of the public has arrived at Wilmslow Police Station this afternoon for an appointment, and parking facilities have been made available as is often the case for prearranged appointments such as this."

Meanwhile, a source commented: "Police action has to be proportionate and she has apparently already confessed to drug-taking in the weekend papers. She has arranged to go in and see officers to discuss the matter - it'll be a talking to."

Footage which appeared to show Katona snorting cocaine in the bathroom of her home was released by a Sunday newspaper earlier this month. The ex-singer flew out for a holiday in Tenerife in the aftermath of the row but finally returned to the UK to face the music on Friday.

Katona has already spoken publicly about the matter in a recent tabloid interview, claiming that she was tricked into taking the Class A substance.
