'Megan' star 'devastated over murder'

A friend of Megan Wants a Millionaire's Megan Hauserman has revealed that the reality star is devastated over the Ryan Jenkins murder case.

The filming of the VH1 dating show was postponed after authorities learned that the 32-year-old contestant had killed his ex-wife, while his previous criminal history went undetected in a background check for the series.

"Megan is devastated," a source close to the star told People. "She got to know Ryan through her show, and she is shocked and saddened by the week's events.

"Right now Megan is taking comfort in her friends and keeping a close eye on news as this story unfolds."

It was reported earlier that Jenkins, who was charged with murdering Jasmine Fiore before fleeing to Canada, was found dead in a motel room.
