Preston: 'I'd support Andre, Houghton'

Preston has said that he would be happy if his ex-wife Chantelle Houghton and Peter Andre had a relationship.

The singer told Heat that he still cares for Houghton and played a part in her split from Celebrity Big Brother 6 star Ben Adams.

Preston said: "I still feel slightly protective of her. You know this whole thing about her being linked to Peter Andre? Well, if that happened I'd be really happy, because he seems like good news. I'd be a pageboy at that wedding.

"I think I kind of split her and some guy up, actually. I think he was in A1 or something? I was just like, 'No'. He seemed so soppy. She'd call me up and tell me about the relationship and I was like, 'You have to end that'. He's pretty charmless, I think."

In 2007, Andre said that he was unsurprised by Preston's divorce from Houghton because "not everyone can make the relationship work in real life as well as Kate [Price] and I did".

A year earlier, his now-estranged wife Price said that she was "sick to death" of reading about Houghton and Preston's plans to wed.
