Chris Brown 'sentencing date brought forward'
Chris Brown's sentencing for his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna has been brought forward.

In June, Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault after attacking the singer last February in Hancock Park, Los Angeles, following a pre-Grammy Awards party.

He was sentenced to five years' probation and ordered to complete 180 days of community service, which he will serve in Virginia.

According to Radar Online, Brown's formal sentencing had been scheduled for this Thursday, but his attorney Mark Geragos has requested the sentencing be moved forward two days in order to resolve the matter more quickly.

Rihanna recently lodged an appeal for the restraining order against her ex-boyfriend to be removed.
